Mika's relatives

First draft of Mika’s relatives despite the fact that he’s never gonna meet them haha

Micheal the Tenrec - An old pilot who had to give up his flying to focus on his job as a physicist in order to support his family. He married his (yet to be designed and named) wife and had two children with her. He was a good father who was there for his children as much as he could be and is a very kind old man.

Abel the Tenrec - A biology professor at a university, he moved back in with his father after the death of his mother. He is a good teacher, the kind who cuts some slack but gets work done and can be very immature at times: He is the brother of Cain who he has not seen in many years leading to a slight bitterness towards him.

Cain the Tenrec - Older brother of Abel by almost a decade, Cain is serious and forceful. As a child he was caring and was very close to his Mother and brother, however, he began to associate with what his father called ‘the wrong crowd’ during his teenage years and after getting into trouble beyond him he met Victoria. The two fled from his crimes to Mazuri where they had Mika.

Victoria the Tenrec - A poised black-widow, Victoria grew up in a large house with lots of money and servants. At age 16 her parents bought themselves an even larger house and their old house was gifted to her. She quickly realised this was not the life she wanted and looked into work as an assassin - wanting a thrilling job that paid well. She burned down the house and trained hard - years later she was tasked with killing Cain who she came very close to killing before falling in love with him. The two fled from her boss (who would surely kill her) to Mazuri where they had Mika. 

Both of the brother’s yellow markings come from their mother as do Cain’s peach eyelids and grey eyes. The pattern of Mika’s markings on his quills come from Victoria’s side of the family and if he were able to age his bright fur would dull to the same colour as his father’s with age.
